So i've been wakeboarding for a few years now, and spring break i'm going with some buddies to steamboat springs, co. I am gonna try and snowboard. I've got good balance, and am athletic how hard is it gonna be for me to learn?

l do not think wake boarding will have any effect on snowboarding. Snowboarding is really easy, as long as you know the styles. l learned by using what is called the maple leaf.You go for about 10-15 feet regular boarding, and then carve (turn sideways with your toes in the air, to slow yourself down), this, is probably the easiest and most effective way to learn how to tear up the mountains.

I've been snowboarding for about 3-4 years. have not wakeboarded before but if you have good balance and your athletic then it should be no problem to learn how to snowboard. it might be a bit different because snow is different than water but you will get used to it. l learned how to snowboard myself and l thouhgt it was easy. good luuuck :]

l actually did the complete opposite of what ur doing. Ive been snowboarding for 9 years now & just last year l tried wakeboarding.

Your experience wakeboarding will definitely help because u know the feel of going sideways & balance & such, but it is a completely different feel when im snowboarding.

First off, ur being pulled when on a wakeboard & in snowboarding u use momentum. Second, it is almost a complete change in the way ur weight will be distributed. Wakeboarding l tended to lean back a lot more & in snowboarding l lean more forward (partially because im not being pulled by a boat)

l guess it just depends on how good of a teacher u have & how fast u can pick things up. The wakeboarding experience will help though..

If u really want to u can find videos on youtube or just random websites that will teach u & give u pointers to remember while ur out shreddin the slopes!
