Im just wondering if this specific board would be OK for a beginner?i have went snowboarding 5 times before and this semester l am taking a snowboarding class so im buying a snowboard. l saw this one 50% off for $260 and am wondering should l get it as my first snowboard and one to learn on. Is there any cons to this board to learning as a beginner? anyone know anything about this board? btw l am 6'0 and 165 pounds and l am planning to get the length as 160.

the board length should be good for you, as long as it is in between your eyebrows and your chin. l think you should go to a swap meet and get something used or past seasons to use, l picked my first board up for $25, and it turned out to be worth about $1000, so you should try that for your first board, just to learn, and even better would be to rent. It is usually the best stuff to learn on. l would suggest getting your own boots, though.

The boards fine l suppose, Their r much better choices out there. As for the length contrary to what the other guy said which is wrong picking a board by height is not a good decision & is a pretty common rookie mistake, That 160 You're thinking of buying is long for u & would be more of a freeride length, Generally starting out most beginners start on an all-mountain board & if u want a proper length for that at ur weight & height than u should look in the 156-158 range.

Avoid pretty much all the brands sold at those big retail stores ''D&icks,sports check,sports authority,big 5 ect ect''. Pretty much all the brands sold there ''Lamar,LTD,Sims,morrow'' r low end garbage decks that any boarder planning to go a lot should not bother buying, They will only end up holding u back.
