They look very much the same in many ways. l have a helmet very similar to this one (http://skateattack.co.uk/images/product_images/skb/helmets/ac159black.jpg) and was wondering if l should wear it snowboarding? I've been boarding before, but I am still beginner-intermediate. And it could save me the $10-15 on a rental helmet.

If you are planning on sticking with snowboarding get a real snowboarding helmet because they are meant for snowboarding and have insulation for keep your head warm.

If you are only going out this one time l would wear a toque underneath the helmet so you do not freeze (since the helmet is meant to breath, not keep you warm).

Most resorts have very strict guidlines on what snowboarder can and cannot wear.

If ski patrol or the lift operators see you wearing a skateboarding helmet, they will immediatly pull you to the side and clip your lift ticket and send you home.

They could even ban you from the resort for the season. Resorts take helmet infractions very seriously. :)

youll be fine.but also cold. where something under. id reccommend getting a legit snow helmet if your going to continue snowboarding, giro makes good ones if your interested
