Do you go faster on fake or real snow

Snow is snow, whether it is made by nature or a machine.

Actually, snow is not snow.there r huge differences in the properties of man-made vs. natural snow. Think of fake snow as shaved ice chrystals blown into the air. Thats exactly what it is. It is going to form a harder, more compact base than natural snow. It will be faster & less forgiving. Man-made will also last longer, & that is why most resorts with snow-making capability will focus their efforts on the main runs leading to the base, & the teaching & beginners area. That way they can ensure that those key areas will have snowcover into march & april when the rest of the mountain is melting down. Also, u will normally find a man-made base underneath almost all race courses. Man-made stands up better because it produces a firmer surface, & the ruts will not form as quickly. And it is a hell of alot faster.

Depends on consistency rather than the type of snow
