l have last years model of the Roxy silhouette & l really liked it but then l got the Ride Rapture for x-mas & l have improved so, so much. l have a Burton, Roxy, Nitro & a Ride & my Ride is the best by far, it is light, & flexy, it is real easy to maneuver around & l can even ride it on Powder days, since l got it l have picked up new tricks, & got faster too, It is just an all around good board. l hardly even ride the other boards anymore. l know it was not one u were looking at but maybe u can look at it & see what u think cause l have learned so much on it! Good luck & l hope my advice helped!

Although l have different preferences in snowboards if l had to choose between the two l would go with the Roxy Silhoutte, It is more flexible and easier to turn on in my opinion.

im snowboard instructor at mt.bachelor in bend oregon,
iv never tryed the flow jewel or the roxy
but tips to helping u know..
1.the board should have some flex in it..(if u hold the board long ways & u push the middle of the board in & it should bend perty well )
2. the board come to about ur chin nothing HIGHER! the board width should be no bigger then ur bindings..
3. when u have ur board on feet..set down & move ur toes up & down..( one up one down) its called torsional flex u want the board to have a good amount..nothing stiff!

if this helps my frist board was a lamar strome..154 lots of felx! the board l have now..is a sapent 147 great amount of felx

hopfully this helps u
