l have a choice between a burton custom x 158 or 160 l ride everything and l am 6'tall 190ls. l was wondering if the 158 would be long enough for riding pow because the 158 is cheaper.thanks for your help

2 cm is not much of a difference! wider is better if your riding lots of powder!

158 should be ok. When upright, the snowboard should come somewhere between the tip of your nose and your chin. Measure that in centimeteres to find out how far off you are. If it is too short, you will sink.

Ok dude. first of all wider is not better unless u have big feet. A wide board with narrow fit will be very hard to turn & control edge to edge. second, the correct way to size a snowboard is by weight. Saying a board should come up to ur nose or whatever is just a very general tip that usually is not accurate. l would really recommend the 160 for ur weight. Although u can ride the 158 just fine, the 160 will give u more stability at higher speeds & will give u a tiny bit extra float in the fresh. Either way the Custom X is a killer snowboard & u will love it.

Although the 158 will be alright, the 160 would be the better choice. l am 5' 8''ish to five-nine. l weight about 145 My current deck is 155 and it is shorter than l prefer, but still fine. You being like three inches taller than me would probably want the 160 considering you weigh 190. It will be a lot stabler and the stance would probably be more comfortable. If you're planning on riding pow, a longer deck is better too.
