what is the best mountain on the east coast for snowboarding and why.

l am from Boston & know a lot of the mountains in New England pretty well. Ca not really help with mid-atlantic states. Of course people have different preferences.

While l want to head out west to ride as much as possible, l grew up here & there r lots of fun places to ride.

My favorite mountain is probably Sunday River. It is one of the biggest mountains on the east coast, & has 8 peaks with all different kind of terrain. It is basically good for everyone, because they have a little of everything - steeps, moguls, cruisers, terrain parks, trees, etc. It is very spread out with lots of lifts so there r not long waits ever & people there r very chill.

Jay Peak in northern Vermont is another good moutain. It is near the top for New England mountains for the amount of snow it gets, & u can often actually find powder there, & they have lots of glades.

Other good mountains r Loon, NH (focuses on terrain parks, cruisers), Mount Sunapee (small friendly, local type place in NH with great terrain park), & Sugarloaf, Maine (some good steeps & was one of the last mountains to close out here, but gets very cold & windy in mid-winter).

Stowe Vermont

-Not a lot of tourist
-Great snow
-lots of rocks and drop offs

SugarBush is rad as well but l like Stowe Better. Kilington sucks and mount snow is ok. It depends on your region.
