My freind just cant seem to get over her fear of them. She is afraid of falling on her face.

go early in the morning when the whole like ''popular good crew'' is not there.
just take em really slowly and focus on your balance.
maybe wear a helmet till you get used to em?

first, tell her there is no reason to be embarassed because other snowboarders were in the same position she is in.
second, if she is not over that, take her when there is not many people there.
get off of ur board & help her when she is on the box or rail, l suggest box first. she has to get used to her balance & centering her body weight over the box. people also have a tendency to try to turn on the box if they r afraid they r going to fast, if she leans on edge even a little, she will fall. people usually cant help doing that.
just start off slow & go at ur own pace. l personally think its easier going faster.

Are u also afraid of them? If u both r afraid, do like rock-paper scissors or something to decide who goes first. Wear a helmet.

Hit a wide, flat box first. 50-50 it first slowly. The chances that u will fall flat on ur face r slim. Stay flat & keep ur shoulders facing perpendicular to the box, & keep looking at the end of the box. Once u get to the end, u do not even need to pop off. Just drop. Keep ur knees bent & do not freak out. Do not go into a boardslide if u can not 50-50 yet. Do not bother with a kinked box either.

Boxes & rails r so much fun. Boxes r fun just to goof off on because it is harder to mess up, & easier just to fool around on. Rails r good if u want a challenge.

Hit it slow & calm. Keep yourself straight on it. Watch other people & ask them. Most people wo not mind helping you. The fact that you're girls will give u + is too. Not that many girl boarders.

l am the same way, but l prefer to ripp an embankment. l have experienced a variety of shakedowns, and, l believe that a healthy amount of fear is the way to find yourself.
