no, it is not. EST bindings will not work on other boards, including Burton boards with the traditional 3 hole pattern. However, Burton boards with the channel system will works with older Burton Bindings with the 3 hole pattern (it needs special plate), but not with non-Burton Bindings.

No if you buy a ICS board you can only use EST bindings on it. However- in most models you can get the traditional 3D pattern board and then you can use whatever binding you want- Burton or not on the board and save yourself $50 typically. If you adjust your binding angles a lot the ICS is really worth the money- if you dont' adjust it a whole lot the 3D binding system (normal 3 hold bindings) works just fine!
