l bought a Lamar mission 157 (i only had $180 to dish out on a board) and l wear size 12 boots

im not sure if im gonna get toe/heel drag.. (the board hasnt come yet so l cant even strap in and see what it looks like)

i heard there are binding spacers?

what should l do?

Man, if u shopped around, you'd be surprised at what u can get for 180 bucks, definitely a lot better of a board than a Lamar. Like most places sell off last years gear at half off, sometimes more. So u could get a $400 board for $200. Check out ur local shops & bargain with them or check out sites like the-house.com & other popular, reputable online snowboarding stores. You can get some awesome deals. Just keep that in mind if u can return that Lamar board. But anyways, yeah, at a size 12 boot, u will probably want a wide board. As a general rule, if ur a sasquatch shredder with a boot at a size 11 or more, then u will probably want a wide board. Most people r more comfortable with a wide board when their feet r that big, but some people can be comfy with a regular board. That is the best thing about snowboarding, all about personal preference & there is no such thing as u HAVE to do something. But like l said, general rule says u might like a wider board lol, unfortunately. But luckily, they do make elevators just for ur situation, oversized feet on a regular board. You can snag one at Burton.com for $60, but if u shop around some, u will probably be able to get them for cheaper. Good luck man.

Lamar?? Big mistake Buddy!! They r hands doen the worst boards on the mountain. The guy above is right - u could get an awesome 2 season old board for the same price if u shop around online.

You do usually need a wide board for size 12 feet. Your only option is to get a reduced foot print snowboarding boot. l think Rides have a reduced footprint - eg - the size 12 has the external size of a size 11. Go to ur local boarding shop & they should be able to tell u which boots have a reduced print. Better yet - ebay ur board & get a wide board that will take u further!!

If u really do need a 157 board & have size 12 feet, u almost certainly need a wide board. l would guess that u r thin & have large feet for ur height / weight, so u might think about getting a board a little bigger that u can grow into for the next couple of seasons.

l would return the Lamar board - that is not a very good board & that is not a good price for a mid-quality board.

There r still some good 50% off deals on last year is boards - l would recommend the Ride Fleetwood for a good wide freeride board. Check these one out - maybe u can find ur size on clearance
