l just went snowboarding yesterday for about 6 or 7 hours, and my shoulders and arms and legs are really sore. Is that normal?Im thinking maybe because l havent done it in a while, but Im not sure.. ?

Absolutly. Especially if it is your first time this season or your first time ever. Leaning back and forth on the board will deffently get you sore. l am always sore after snowboarding and l have been doing it for a while. Have fun out there!

Yeahhh, it is normal : ) Especially if u have not done it in awhile. You use muscles that u do not usually use. Plus, 6/7 hours is a kinda long day. Not too long, but definitely enough to make u sore.

Once u start going enough, u will be less sore each time u go. Unless u go for long periods of time without snowboarding, or unless u decide to go really big one day & push yourself. You could even try stretching a little each day before u go out. l personally do not do that, but I've heard it is good for ya! : ) lol.

yea its getting your muscles used to snowboarding again cause your using different muscles..try running and strechting afterwards run really slow for about half a mile and it realeases all the lactic acid and you wont be as sore

That u means u must have had a good time :-)

When people r learning l tell them to expect about 3 days of their bum feeling black & blue with bruises.

After that it changes depending on ur riding style, the muscles u use & own personal physical make up.

Its worth spending time stretching before & after boarding to make sure u do not get too stiff & injure yourself.

Also if u r getting aches in ur calfs & feet it can sometimes be caused by ''heel lift'' which is when ur heels lift up inside ur boot. This causes ur feet to try & ''grip'' inside the boot which causes cramping. If this is the case make sure u choose ur boots carefully & that the heel cup prevents heellift. Salomon Malmuts have shin strap which holds ur feet down no matter what.

Keep shredding!
