So do u need Snow pants to snowboard or can u usually get by without them

You do not NEED snowpants to snowboard, However it would be a good idea to wear them, or just a pair of splashpants. Yo're going to fall and you will want something to keep you dry.

with jeans and long johns you should be warm enough, but at the end of the day you are going to have one heck of a wet butt.

No they are not reacquired but most people advise to wear them to keep you warm and also to reduce the pain of crashing. But there are quite a few people out there who do not wear snow pants

not gonna lie, u will look stupid at any place boarding without them..
my friend & l cut off skiiers & get more points for the ones wearing ugly stuff, like jeans & without snowpants

and its kind of a pain to strap in standing up, & u cant exactly sit in the snow without them
but l mean if its warm enough & u wear a few layers of pants & dont sit down or fall then you're good,

It is not like they wo not let u on the lift without them, but honestly l do not think u would be able to get through a whole day without them. Even if u r really good, u still fall sometimes. Snowpants r made of synthetic materials that do not absorb water, where as sweatpants of jeans r usually made of cotton. Without some sort of waterproof barrier on the outside, u will get very wet & cold very fast. You do not need to buy the $100 pants. Just get a cheap pair at a sporting goods store. Your butt will thank you.

Well, I've seen guys go in shorts on nice 50 degreee days. It depends on how much you fall and how wet the snow would be. Splashpants are nice, thin, for warm days and if you do not fall a lot they're perfect. Snowpants are good for cold days and if you do fall a lot.

Do you need shoes to walk? No, but they're good to have, just like snow pants. But you do not NEED them. l would put aside money for at least a decent pair, but you would be fine without them if you wore layers under jeans or something.
