My boyfriend had surgery 6 months ago to put the bone back in his hip socket, he also fractured his femur. He is completely healed up, and it has been 6 months. He works full time and works out often.

I am taking him snowboarding, just to try it out. On the little bunny slopes of course. But I am worried about him getting hurt, because he is never been.

l know he will just fall on his butt a lot, but do you think it is too much of a risk? Any tips or suggestions as well?

Ask his doctor if in doubt, but he should be alright

Like most other people said, l would definitely have him check with his doctor. It is easy to fall hard and awkwardly when you are starting out snowboarding. If he is able to do, there are padded pants that you can wear for protection. l do not know how well they would protect previously fractured bones though. Plus, they probably look pretty stupid.
