I am 15, 5'8 170 pounds, size 12, beginnerish, riding all mountain.

l was wondering which one is the best value/deal? Or if neither are any good? Also, do l need a wide board because of my big feet?

Neither. I'd definitely avoid sims though that is for sure, but yes you will need a wide board with size 12's.

l am with jake here, both r entry level set ups. Sometimes u want to gop cheap but that does not mean u have to settle for crappy gear. On that note Sims is a very long standing company, one of the pioneers of snowboarding l must say, but they started making entry level equipment a few years ago & they sell.well, entry level equipment now.

You might have better luck off ebay, & ''Deal of the Day'' websites. (''Deal of the day'' websites offer items at up to %90 off MSRP until they run out of the item, whiskeymilitia.com is one of them.) You can even get used gear (ebay) for a fraction of the price, or even past seasons new equipment. Ask around what boots, bindings & board is good for ur level, then do research & look for them.
