l just bought a burton snowboard, with burton custom bidings and dc shoes. I've seen other boarders boards and there feet almost nearly hang off or never at all and mine seem to just have an inch hanging off, not much but it just seems like l should have gottenabigger board. Im going on a 3 day trip after christmas so l hope someone can enlighten me whether an inch would be too much on the back...my toes pop off the end just barely also.Im only 11 1/2 on shoe size and the board is a 158 so l just wanna know if any one can enlighten me on whether this is a problem or not.. thanks

That should not happen. If you want to carve,(which you pretty much have to to turn at all) then you should not have any hanging off. But you have a realy big shoe so l am not really sure. Maybe you should have gotten a wider board. l am sorry to rain on your parade! :(

If there is more overhang on the heel than the toe, or vice versa, try to even it out by shifting the bindings forward or backward. the board length does not really matter, if it is really bad, u should get a wide board. If, at any point during a turn, ur toes or heels touch the snow or cause u to slide out, u need a wider board. Another possibility is to get boots that r a size smaller, & cut the toes out of the liners. That might cause ur feet to get cold, so only use that option if u do not think there is very much risk to that, i.e. u do not ride in extremely cold weather. Never ride with boots that r too small or uncomfortable if u can help it, because if ur feet hurt, u can not enjoy yourself as much on the slopes. Enjoy the Ride!

Well most of my boards my boots hangs over around an inch in the front and none in the back, l ride them centered though so if it is hanging off the back maybe you did not put your bindings on centered.

However if it is only an inch like l said to someone else the other day you will probably be fine mine hang over around the same and l do not have any problems.

Ideally, 1inch of total overhang(front and back combined, e.g. 1/2inch F, 1/2inch B, and so on..) is going to give you the best balance for the board. More than that and your gonna get some nasty boot drag. Less than that is a matter of preference, but the board becomes less responsive the wider you go.
