Heres my problem, my mom wants me to get a used snowboard that comes with bindings. She thinks that getting the board and bindings together will be better than buying a good snowboard this christmas and good bindings next christmas. l told her that l will rent the snowboard and bindings if l wanna go snowboarding. l need a wide snowboard and extra large bindings which will be hard to find. How can l get her to buy the snowboard and bindings l want by buying a good snowboard this year and buying good bindings the next?

Pardon this analogy, but it was the first thing that came to mind: When ballet dancers get new shoes they ''break them in'' just the way that they need them to be, & after wearing them about once, the shoe is basically custom to the dancer is foot. If anyone else tried to wear them it would be straight up weird, & this ''breaking in'' is not really a reversible process, & if someone tried to wear the shoes second hand they would never get the real proper feel, which would affect their performance. The same goes for snowboards. If u get a used package you're going to be riding on someone elses preferences, no matter how much u tune it, & you're never going to be riding ur own snowboard, it is always going to be someone elses, which can affect the way that u board, whereas if u get a new setup it will form correctly & u can make things the way that u want them to be to fit perfectly the way u want it to.

So. she wants to get you a used package?!?!?!?! Ok so just tell her you want a new (good) board this year. And crappy bindings and maybe you could get good bindings next year. Or your mom could buy bindings and you buy board or vise versa you can try and figure it out with those suggestions l gave you.

tell her that you found a board you really like and if she can find it with bindings and used only a couple times (1-5) then she can get that or just get you that board

well heres what l kkind of did. just say that a used one will need to have regular maintenance and less time riding because its lower quality
