l jammed my index and middle finger really hard while snowboarding like 3 weeks ago.The pain was so intense when it first happened that l thought l had maybe broken them.They feel a lot better now and l am able to move them but they still hurt a lot when l do move them and they are still a little swollen.Do you think l might have fractured or possibly broken them?Or is this just a sprain or bruise?

yea they are not broken but it is swollen and bruised. if they are not straight you should put a splint on them so they will even back out. Try going to the physician to make sure though. If you do not want to go then as long as they are not turning a different color than your natural skin color than you will be fine. try taking some ibuprofen or tylenol to ease the pain. hope l helped.

It could be a hairline fracture. But it is more likely a sprain. Both take a couple of months to heal.

Go see a doctor, especially if they are not straight or it gets worse, not better. You never know with these things and if you have a significant fracture somewhere, you may need to have it set BEFORE it heals. Your doctor will know.
