okay u guys on here are probably really good at snowboarding, so think back to your first day. l will be able to go snowboarding this month but idk if it is hard. l only have one day and l dont wanna ruin it frustraiting myself trying to snowboard. will l be able to have fun the first day? (u can do other stuff too at the place i'm going to)
i can choose to snowboard or ski. is skiing easier? i'd rather snowboard though, skiing sounds gay to me.

it all depends on what kind of attitude you have going into it. The first day is hard and you will fall. a lot. But if you just keep with it and work hard enough, hopefully you will get to the level where you can get a little taste of what it is all about. Then you will never want to quit! Just laugh at yourself when you eat it and do not be a whiner. You will like it

It is possible to have fun on your first snowboarding experience, but
DO NOT expect to be able to do the things that you see the professionals do on T.V. Also, be prepared to fall and fight through the pain in order to get up and continue down the mountain. My advice is to wear a helmet and stretch before and after the snowboarding.

Snowboarding is way more fun if you can get the hang of it. l rented skis once when l was pretty young and got it first time no problem. A year or so later l bought a snowboard and had a hard time the first two times l went, but the next year l went l got it. So it might be hard or you might do okay. Most people l know have a pretty hard time learning it but you might be able to do it. You will definatly have a better chance if you have a good aditutude and stay positive.

Im an instructor and here is what l think. Short and too the point.
Snowboarding- Hard to learn, easy to master
Skiing- Easy to learn, hard to master

If u r just expecting it to come naturally, chances r it most likely won't. But if u really want to be able to ride around with no problem it will take frustration. But the rewards r so worth it. Skiing is pretty easy to pick up for a day trip, but yeah, it is not snowboarding.

When l think back l think there were days l was so pissed off because l could not get it, it is easy to get discouraged especially if u have the wrong attitude. But there were days when l sucked & loved it. Being around other snowboard noobs makes it a lot more fun (sucking together & laughing about it).

It can not be hard. Look at the people who do it.
