How will a short board affect my snowboarding

It stands about 6 inches shorter than my chin.

It really is about your weight matching to the board.Shorter board easier to spin doing 360 is etc not real good in the powder stuff, longer board better for free riding the steeps and powder and faster.

To summarize really quick. It depends on ur ability & what kind of riding u like to do. A short board is fine for jibbing which consist of kickers, rails, boxes, & such because u want more stability & a short board can give u that. However, if u plan on carving hard or riding a lot of powder u will hate the short board but riding powder has to do with the flex pattern (directional, twin, etc. )of the board. Most importantly, it really depends on ur ability & the things u can do/want to do when u snowboard.
