Ok, l Am A Good Skateboarder And l Can Ride A PLASTIC Snowboard In The Winter Down A Hill. If l Go On Vacation, And Go Snowboarding For Real, Will l Be Ok? Or Will l Suck?

Most resorts wo not let you use a plastic snowbaord (one without metal edges), and it wo not matter how good of a skater you are, trying to turn a snowboard without metal edges would be trying to turn a skateboard without the bushings in the trucks.

you will have an advangtage knowing how to skateboard, but you will still look bad in the beginning, i'd recommend taking lessons to start with.

Your not going to be able to use a plastic snowboard ANYWHERE.
You not going to be good at snowboarding the first day.
Your going to be on ur but a lot, but u will most definitely have an advantage.
l recommend u get a lessons no matter what, or else it is not going to be a fun day. If u live in the east coast. Go to Hunter Mt. New York. Great Learning Center. l am a instructor there.
Snowboarding is a lot of fun, get lessons & continue snowboarding & u could possible hitting jumps & rail if u take about 4-6 days of lessons.

Skateboarding has some help with your first time snowboarder because you have better balance, ive been snowboarding for 5 years and skating for 7, my first time l went snowboarding l got there before the lesson and l went down the bunny slope l fell here and there but did really good for my first time, you will have to rent a board and boots from the mountain but you will have somewhat of an advantage to other beginners, l recommend taking a lesson.

l did not know there were plastic snowboards..but i'm sure resorts wo not let you use it. you will still fall a lot. it is super fun though ^^. everyone sucks at snowboarding the 1st time.i got the hang of it the 3rd time.

Your first day? You will suck. Everyone does, ( l did too even though l skated before then) and you have to get used to it. But once you get the hang of it , you will find it much more fun then skating (in my opinion)
