im a rookie on the mountain, im 6-2 about 190lb, my suggested board size is around 160-164 wide, but l feel more comfortable on a shorter board, should l stick with the big stuff because my weigh? or will it hurt to use a smaller board

it all really depends on what board handles the weight better, bigger boards are a little harder to control..but handle weight better.when you hold up the board it should go to your chin..and it might just feel weird becasue ur a rookie, and have not ridden alot

get a really stiff board that goes to your chin
