ok so l am traveling from Oregon to Providence Rhode Island, and l am gonna do a bit of snowboarding,so l just bought a snowboard bag.My friend just told me that l have to take my bindings off and out, otherwise they might get crushed

is this true??
have anyof u heard of this befor e
is it common??
what are my other options to doing this, can l just thow my jacket over the top inside

BTWthey are burton bindings

l would call up burton and ask them, they have that kind of experience probably, you could always do your bindings on a ''carry on'' but you might wanna check if its allowed first, or put them in a sui case right? or maybe you could ask the airlines if you can put them in a box, l dont have experience in this sorry, but call burtonn they are on eastern time though

I've always traveled with my bindings on my board, in the bag and they were fine. I'd say it is no big deal.

If you are concerned.try this..
take the bindings off..then ship them Fedex

1) You might have to pay for the airline checked baggage anyway (depending on airline)
2) The bindings will be in an actual box and not a bag that can have numerous other bags put on top of it.
3) Airline travel and big checked baggage is always a crap-shoot. It just depeneds on the actual baggage handler and airline.
