Is there a size difference in snowboarding and your regular shoe size?
Like l wear a size 7.5 in mens, but would l have to get a different size with my snowboarding boots when l order them?
Thanks for thee help (:

no, not really, but if ur r ordering boots make sure u can return or exchange them. Different brands fit differently, so some may run big, & some may be fine, but the size number is not the whole picture. Some r wide some r narrow, & everyone is foot is different. l would recommend going to a shop & trying on as many different models as u can to find out which ones fit u best. For example, l do not like Burton, for me, because my heel feels like it is slipping, adn 32 is pinch & DC is r to narrow. l ended up with a pair of Salomon is that feel pretty good, but ur foot is not my foot, another brand may fit u better. Always try boots on, cause ill fitting boots can ruin ur day.

If u dont already know ur size & already have a boot preference, & l really cant stress this enough, go try some boots on. Buying online might save u some cash but when ur feet r killing u after one run, u will wish you'd just ponied up.

That said, typically snowboard boots should be a little tight when u first try them on.. some people (myself included) actually order a half size smaller so that they fit perfectly once they're packed out. Like the other answer says, no one knows ur feet so no one is gonna be able to tell u which boots or what size to get. You really just need to try them on & see what u like. even if u just end up leaving the store & buying them online, go to a store & try them on.

l have to agree with the other guy. You should never a buy a boot that u have not tried on. The boot is the most important part of ur gear because u will be in them for upto 8 hours a day & really need to be comfortable. Most boots size down meaning that if ur normal size were a 10, ur snowboarding boot size will prolly be 9.5 or so. Thats how it is for me. When l buy boots l spend at least half an hour in the store trying them on & walking around in them. Last year when l bought my boots l must have spent a good hour & half at the store trying on many different pairs to make sure l get the one that best fits my feet. Then after l got home, l wore the new one on one leg & my old ones on the other to see how different they felt.

l cant stress enough the importance of a good fit on the boot. If theres one part of ur gear where u shouldnt cut corners its ur boot. My recomendation is to try on the boots in the store & find what model size u like & then buy em online. It will piss off the ppl helping u in the store but screw em, they get paid anyways.

Do not buy ur shoes without trying them, even if they have a return policy, because u cant get the convenience of trying on different pairs in online purchase that u can in a store. Hope this helps. Good luck.
